
In response to the post by Weblogg-ed about Facebook, I never thought as a future educator I would bring that into the classroom. The dialogue between the Principal and Student is a classic act in today's society. These kids are posting anything they want on these websites and the parents are not monitoring it. When the students get called down to the office about there posts, they are shocked to hear that anyone but their friends would look at the pages. They are even more shocked to find out that the principal could find them! Weblogg-ed asked the Administrator wh
o he thought should be teaching these student about Internet safety and he stated that "the parents should be dealing with the problem." The room filled with laughter and Weblogg-ed stated that we should be incorporating these skills and informational sessions earlier in the curriculum.

Maybe then will there be less students called down to the office for an inappropriate Facebook posting!
